OUR STAFF
Neurology
Jorge Mirabelli. MD is a board-certified Neurologist. Originally from Argentina, Dr. Mirabelli received his medical degree from the Universidad Nacional de La Plata Faculty of Medicine in Argentina. He completed his Neurology Residency at the Cleveland Clinic. He then completed a fellowship in Neuro Intensive Care from Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Mirabelli is an expert in brain injuries and other neurological conditions. Ortega Health Group is fortunate to have his expertise as well as his ability to speak Spanish with our patients.
Orthopedics
Gregory Lower, DO is a board-certified Orthopedic Surgeon. He earned his osteopathic degree from Oklahoma State University and completed his Orthopedic residency at Boston University. Dr. Lower was in private practice for several years before retiring from the Veterans Administration recently.
In addition, Dr. Lower is certified by the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners. Dr. Lower has extensive experience in evaluating patients that have been injured in accidents. He also has experience in providing expert testimony in many courts.
Mental Health
C. Robyn Kelley LCSW is a mental health counselor. She graduated from Arizona State University and worked with the US Navy for over 15 years. During this time, she treated military personnel with emphasis on PTSD.
She has received additional specialty training in many trauma-based protocols. Some of these specialties include EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) and Cognitive Processing (CPT).
Robyn is a non-judgmental caring therapist that helps our TBI and PTSD patients formulate a plan to assist with their recovery and activities of daily living.
Chiropractic
Steven Read, DC received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College in Davenport Iowa. Dr. Read has practiced in Jacksonville for over 30 years. He has had the opportunity to help thousands of people injured in accidents.
Dr. Read sees patients in our Ortega and Palatka locations.
MaryDee Vaile, DC received her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College in Port Orange Florida. Dr. Vaile sees patients in our Lakewood office in Jacksonville.
She has a special interest in sports chiropractic and helping those patients involved in car wrecks.
Additionally, Dr. Vaile is certified in Electro-Diagnostic Studies. She can administer nerve conduction velocity and electromyography testing.
James Diesen, DC received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Logan College in Chesterfield, Missouri. Dr. Diesen oversees the TBI program at Ortega Health Group. In addition, he is also certified in Hypnotherapy and has completed his training from Unbeatable Mind to become a Life Coach.
The techniques he uses is quite beneficial to our TBI patients.
